Open points

The open decisions, in one place. Most of them are open on purpose: they are better made with you, or on the floor itself with the light in front of us. The visual direction links here rather than stating them as settled, so you can always tell what is a plan and what is still a choice.

The look

the one worth answering first
Whether this feels right to you

The set-up on the visual direction, with the b-roll around it, is what carries all six films. Can you picture it: a bar stool, a light grey backdrop, the room behind it, and a few props to dress the spot. If something in that picture does not feel like Marktlink, we would rather hear it before Thursday than after.

The props in particular are worth going through together, so the corner reads as your office and not as a set.

together

Where we film

Thursday is planned, Friday follows from it
Whether we stay on the empty floor

We start on Thursday on the empty floor. At the end of that day we decide together whether it felt safe and steady enough to do the same on Friday, or whether we move.

together
Whether we move once during the day

We build in one spot. Six episodes from the same position can get monotonous, so we may move once to somewhere else on the same floor. Whether that is worth the time is better judged on the day than decided now.

together

On the day

a few answers and we are set
Will anyone be working on that floor

Mostly so we know the floor is ours for the day and we can get on with it. If there is building work going on or a team moving in, it helps to hear that in advance rather than on the morning itself.

A stepladder, and permission to use it

To take the ceiling lights out if they cannot be switched off, and to hang one small light of ours from the ceiling so there is no stand in the wide shot. If there is a ladder in the building we would rather use that than carry one in.

After the shoot

not urgent now, but they will come up
The visuals that go into the explainers

Part of each episode is graphics rather than camera. We are curious what you have in mind there, and we build them in once they reach us.

The typeface for the titles

Your brand book names Aptos and Palatino, your website loads Manrope. There is a small tool on the bumper page where you can put all three over a real frame and see which one holds.

Where the call to action sends people

Your scripts end each episode with a link to a Marktlink Capital page where prospective investors can get in touch. Something to work out together before the first episode goes out. The six also refer to each other, so the order of publishing comes into it.
